My approach to a portrait depends on how I perceive the model.
The portrait is as much a psychological as a technical exercise : the photograph aims to create a connection, which reveals, equally, the physical appearance and the soul of a person.
So the session starts with an interview with the client.
The session can take place in the studio or in the client’s home, in an environment where he feels relaxed and happy.
For professional purposes - a website, business cards etc. - use a professional !
Never overlook the positive or negative impact of the image a picture gives of your company.
A photo can be as effective as a lengthy discourse.
